TRANSFERS - OTHER The latest market value update from Transfermarkt.be has led to notable shifts within Anderlecht's squad. One name stands out above all: Nathan De Cat. The 17-year-old midfielder makes a spectacular leap forward and becomes the biggest riser in the entire Belgian Pro League. But not everyone at Anderlecht sees their value increase — Yasin Özcan and Mario Stroeykens both experience a downward adjustment.
De Cat, who has received praise in recent weeks for his maturity and consistency, sees his valuation jump from 7 to 17 million euros — an increase of 10 million. No other player in Belgium rises more sharply. The teenager has now firmly established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in the country.
The boost comes as no surprise: De Cat has played almost every match for Anderlecht, grown into a key figure, and even attracted interest from major European clubs. His new market value reflects that meteoric progression.
Angulo rises thanks to impressive form
Nilson Angulo can also be pleased with his updated valuation. The Ecuadorian winger climbs from 4.5 to 7 million euros, a rise of 2.5 million. Angulo enjoyed a strong run of form for Anderlecht, contributing goals and assists that once again put him on the radar of foreign teams.
Özcan suffers biggest drop
At the opposite end of the table is Yasin Özcan, the player hit the hardest by the update. The Turkish defender, on loan from Aston Villa, has struggled to secure playing time and currently features for RSCA Futures. His market value drops from 7.5 to 5 million euros, a significant decline.
The fall is surprising given the expectations surrounding his arrival, but without minutes on the pitch, a downward adjustment seems inevitable.
Stroeykens sees his value decrease again
Mario Stroeykens also experiences a reduction in his estimated value, going from 10 million to 8 million euros. The attacking midfielder remains one of Anderlecht's brightest homegrown talents, but recent inconsistency and an inability to replicate his earlier peak have contributed to the decline.
With De Cat and Angulo, Anderlecht clearly holds two rising stars, while the situations of Özcan and Stroeykens may prompt further reflection from the club's sporting management. But one thing remains certain: when it comes to developing young talent, Anderlecht continues to be one of the leading academies in Belgian football.
