TRANSFERS Ismaël Baouf is swapping RSCA Futures for Dutch side Cambuur. The central defender signed a three-year contract with the club from Leeuwarden this morning, with an option for a fourth. Cambuur finished third in the Dutch second division last season.
"With fifty matches at this age, Ismaël already has a fair amount of experience, which speaks volumes about his potential and, above all, his qualifications," says Cambuur's technical manager, Lars Lambooij. "He's an aggressive defender with good timing in his aerial duels, and he also enjoys possession. We're happy to be able to sign another talented player."
Baouf joined Anderlecht from Charleroi three years ago. He was a regular at the Futures for the past two seasons. He still had a one-year contract with Anderlecht.
