Yesterday, after the match, a strange scene unfolded on the pitch at Lotto Park. Under Bruno's direction, the substitutes, bench players and unused squad members completed a full training session there. It is not unusual for players who have seen little or no action to do a bit of sprint work on the pitch to clock up their high-intensity runs, but Bruno went a step further. The pitch was turned into a training ground, and they worked through a match simulation that even involved match-winner Bertaccini. Read more »

Anderlecht have made a good start in Europe, but now they also need to turn their full attention to the league. Under the old format, every game is worth the same number of points, and so dropping points at home — with all due respect — against La Louvière is absolutely out of the question. There is still just under a month left in the transfer window, so it is extremely important to lose as few points as possible in the opening matches. Anderlecht's start to the season could have been much tougher, so in theory a strong start is within reach. Read more »

Following Anderlecht's impressive 0-1 win against PAOK, the Brussels club immediately turns its attention to Sunday's league clash with La Louvière. According to coach Vitor Bruno, however, that fixture comes too soon after the European tie. The Portuguese therefore believes Belgian football should consider adjusting the calendar. Bruno pointed out that his team has less than three days to prepare for its next match. Read more »

In his first match in charge of Anderlecht from the bench, Vitor Bruno experienced a mixed evening in Stockholm. His side seemed for a long time to be on course for a promising victory, until Nathan Saliba's dismissal and a late Hammarby equaliser still spoiled the party. After the match, Bruno made no attempt to hide his frustration: “I'm mainly disappointed.
