Amir Murillo scored the only goal for Panama yesterday afternoon in the friendly game against World Cup contender Cameroon. Ten minutes after halftime, the Anderlecht right back put himself behind a free kick more than 20 meters from goal. He kicked the ball delightfully into the bottom right corner. Read more »

According to the Professional Refereeing Department, Racing Genk's Gerardo Arteaga was unfairly shown a red card in Sunday's match against Anderlecht. Easy win for Genk at Lotto Park

Anderlecht deservedly lost with 0-2 against a strong Genk. Anderlecht could never really make a fist against the leader who not only set the tempo, but also chose his moments well. Anderlecht could again hardly create any real chances and it was behind the times the whole match. The World Cup put Purple and White out of its misery for a while, but without a famous sporting reinforcement, we shouldn't expect too much from this core even after the World Cup, no matter who would be coach. Anderlecht eliminates Lierse after long penalty kick series

The cup match between Lierse and Anderlecht failed to produce a winner after ninety minutes. Even the extensions were a measure of nothing, although the home team still had the best chances. Especially De Schrijver showed himself in the extra half hour with a dangerous header and a shot. Penalty kicks had to decide this sad spectacle and lady luck was in Anderlecht's favor (after a miserable series). Read more »

Offensively, however, Purple White could not show anything tonight, but it could have had a penalty kick after halftime after a pushing error on Amuzu.
