Preparation for next season at RSC Anderlecht has quietly begun behind the scenes. Sporting director Antoine Sibierski will present his transfer plans to the board on Thursday, reportedly with a budget of between €15 and €20 million. Even with an improved financial position, Anderlecht is handling its resources cautiously, particularly after a season without European football. 17-year-old Noah Kalonji has extended his expiring contract at Anderlecht by two years. The defensive midfielder, who is representing Belgium at the U17 European Championship, is now tied to the club until 2028. "Noah is a player with a modern profile who, thanks to his game intelligence, physical strength and build-up qualities, can play in several positions in midfield," the club said. According to certain sources, Marin Soticek is a target for RSC Anderlecht with a view to next season. RSCA reportedly made an offer to Basel during the winter transfer window, but the Swiss club rejected the deal. Soticek is primarily a right winger who can also play on the left; he is 21 years old. The Belgian U17s got off to a fine start at the European Championship in Estonia, beating Croatia 2-0. Three Anderlecht players were in the starting lineup and three more came on as substitutes. Jayden Onia Seke (photo) was involved in both goals, and goalkeeper Mattis Seghers also put in a strong performance. Anderlecht still has concrete interest in Tawanda Maswanhise, a winger at Scottish side Motherwell, the Daily Record reports. In January the Mauves already wanted the Zimbabwean as a replacement for Nilson Angulo, but Motherwell then refused to let him go. Anderlecht said at the time it wanted to be kept informed about any further developments regarding Maswanhise. Official: Rits bids farewell

Mats Rits completes the trio of players who will definitely leave Anderlecht after this season. Rits (32) arrived from Club Brugge in August 2023 and has made 82 appearances for the Mauves. In his first two seasons he played regularly, mainly as a purely defensive midfielder. This season, however, he was excluded from the first?team squad after the European exit and was only brought back into the squad under Taravel, which allowed him a few substitute appearances. He will take the reins of sporting policy across all professional teams and will also oversee the scouting and performance departments (first team, Futures and Women). Sibierski played as an attacking midfielder for Auxerre, Nantes and Lens, and later in England for Manchester City, Newcastle and Wigan.
