Official: Coba da Costa joins Anderlecht

Not long after Angulo's departure was announced, his replacement was revealed: Coba da Costa from Getafe. Da Costa has been loaned from the 16th-placed side in La Liga, with the Mauves holding an option to buy. French second-division side Amiens approached Anderlecht about Anas Tajaouart but was rebuffed, transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports. Amiens wanted to take Tajaouart on loan until the end of the season, but the Purple-and-White are not prepared to let the young midfielder go. The 20-year-old Tajaouart has been one of the stalwarts of the Futures for about two years and serves as their captain. He was promoted to the first-team squad last year and, although regularly included in matchday selections, has so far only made two appearances — a brief substitution in Europe against Häcken and a short cup appearance against Ninove. The inevitable has finally happened: Besnik Hasi has been forced to step down. The coach enjoyed a golden November with the club and even came close to first place, but dramatic displays followed. Now a place in Play-off 1 is in jeopardy, and a confidence-drained Anderlecht must face Antwerp in the cup. Why Özcan's loan was a panic signing

Anderlecht ended its collaboration with 19-year-old defender Yasin Özcan after six months, deeming the arrangement neither sportingly nor financially viable. Özcan had arrived on loan from Aston Villa for a total fee of €300,000; only half of that (€150,000) was paid, the remaining tranche was waived due to the premature departure. Anderlecht also covered an annual salary of roughly €1 million; because Özcan left after half a season, the club reportedly saved about €450,000 in wage costs. In total, his stay is estimated to have cost Anderlecht around €700,000 (approximately €150,000 in loan fees and €550,000 in wages), while Özcan was scarcely used. Read more »

Anderlecht and La Louvière have announced the transfer of Majeed Ashimeru. The midfielder has been loaned to La Louvière until the end of the season by the purple-and-white. Official: Anderlecht loses Kone to Ajax

What had been in the air for some time is now official: 16-year-old Samory Kone is leaving Anderlecht for Ajax. "We are pleased that another talented player has chosen Ajax," says Director of Football Marijn Beuker. "Samory showed at Anderlecht that he has enormous potential."
