In the second friendly game of the day, Anderlecht defeated FC Dordrecht with 5-0 yesterday. Luis Vazquez scored twice before halftime. Keisuke Goto (pictured) kicked in three more in the closing stages. All three on assist from Thorgan Hazard. Read more »

There is a real chance Anderlecht will face off against Sweden's Häcken. The Swedes went on the move in Trnava winning 0-1 after a goal a little past the hour. The match was relatively close with few chances. Only the Swedes were able to aim between the posts a few times and were thus rewarded. Häcken also controlled the match with more ball possession. Anderlecht itself does not start its European campaign until the end of July. Purple-White must survive a lot of preliminary rounds and finally get into the League Phase of the Europa League. The first obstacle is the Swedish Häcken or the Slovakian Trnava. The latter club is not entirely unknown to Anderlecht. In the 2018-2019 season, purple-white experienced a solid slip against the unknown Slovaks: it lost 1-0 in the Europa League. At home, it came no further than a 0-0 draw. In the Gold Cup final, Mexico won 1-2 over the United States. Cesar Huerta entered the field in the 87th minute. The Mexican team turned a 1-0 deficit into a victory. When Huerta entered the field, the final score was already on the board. So with this victory, Huerta adds the 2025 Gold Cup to his record. For Mexico, it is the tenth time they have won the cup. After a disappointing draw (2-2) against Larnaca, RSC Anderlecht faces Greek club Aris Thessaloniki today. Ticket sales have started for the first European home match of the 2025-2026 season. Anderlecht will take on Spartak Trnava or BK Häcken on Thursday, July 24 at 8 p.m. at Lotto Park.
