Anderlecht responded before half-time and through Slimani they climbed up and over Standard. Anderlecht drew 2-2 in Kortrijk and with that it has to be satisfied. In a very open match, Anderlecht played an excellent first quarter of an hour, but spilled with chances. Kortrijk got better in the match, but Dreyer opened the scoring with a clever placing ball. After half-time, Kortrijk climbed up and over Purple and White who gave the match away. Anderlecht deservedly won 3-1 against a stiff STVV. Anderlecht had plenty of ball possession before half-time, but failed to score. After half-time, Anderlecht stepped up a gear on the hour. With a bit of luck, Raman opened the scoring after a long ball from Debast. In the closing stages Anderlecht climbed to 3-0 through goals by Slimani and Dreyer.
