Anderlecht ended its collaboration with 19-year-old defender Yasin Özcan after six months, deeming the arrangement neither sportingly nor financially viable. Özcan had arrived on loan from Aston Villa for a total fee of €300,000; only half of that (€150,000) was paid, the remaining tranche was waived due to the premature departure. Anderlecht also covered an annual salary of roughly €1 million; because Özcan left after half a season, the club reportedly saved about €450,000 in wage costs.
