'Swat' Van der Elst deceased

OTHER François 'Swat' Van der Elst has died tonight. The former Belgian international and Anderlecht icon suffered a heavy heart attack on New Years' day. Since then, he was in a coma, but he died last night. Van der Elst became an European football star in the 70s. After his career, he owned a snooker bar in Opwijk.  Read more »

Isaac Kiese Thelin to become Anderlecht's new striker

The 24 years old Swedish striker Isaac Kiese Thelin (Girondins Bordeaux) will join Anderlecht (on loan). He's currently in Brussels for medical tests. Afterwards he'll sign his contract. The striker didn't play much in Bordeaux, but has been selected for the Swedish national team on 10 occassions.
