Camara out for at least six weeks

Ilay Camara, initially included in the Senegalese squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, has had to withdraw from the tournament. Camara had to be substituted after about fifteen minutes of play in Saturday evening's match against Sint-Truiden due to injury. An MRI in Dakar on Monday concluded that he had a “type 2 hamstring injury,” the Senegalese Football Association reported on Tuesday. Specifically, this means a partial tear of the hamstring with an unavailability of between four and eight weeks. Returning too soon also carries a high risk of recurrence. Read more »
